It has been for quite some time that in our India,the country of all powerful goddesses and political god-mother,the female has much lower chance of survival
than the male.the estimate of death rates,presented in office of registrar general of india shows that in 1970 the death of rate of rural children(0-4 yrs) was 47% even higher than male in Punjab,37%(apx)in UP.36% in Haryana,23% in Rajasthan,10% in gujrat.and so on...in contrast most state in east and south india have a female to male child rate ratio that is below the average for rural India.
The important question is why we neglect of female children? i want to raised this issue ! of course,the male child is a potential source of economic support and gets the lion's share of parental attention and nourishment compared to his sister.
it does not mean male is better than female .when we respect female whole world will respect us......contd......

the men also come frm women(mother)....so it is very justified to show respect and honour them....Hats of to you for this article....well done!!!
ReplyDeleteThe answer is dowry, if people stop taking dowry then I can give you guaranty that this problem could get resolved ASAP. The worst part is this is happening in every community....I consider useless show off and nothing else.
